Waxing made simple

Hot wax or cold wax? Legs, Under Arms, Brazilian, Hollywood or just a standard bikini line? Chests, backs and arms. To bare or not to bare? With so many options in the ever-changing world of waxing it comes as no surprise that we are sometimes left feeling slightly anxious about the whole experience.

Fear not ladies and gents, we have come up with a few essential waxing tips to help get you through with minimum pain and maximum comfort - just in time to bear your bods for your Summer holiday or all year round waxing.

  1. Exfoliate: Giving your skin a good scrub about two days before your appointment will allow the wax to really grip to the shortest hairs and can reduce the occurrence of ingrowing hairs - and the same goes for two days after your appointment. We recommend Australian Bodycare's Exfoliating Body Wash.
  2. Moisturise: Moisturising will keep your skin soft and supple and help reduce the likelihood of ingrowing hairs and irritation - we recommend Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Body Lotion.
  3. Pain management: If the thought that it may be painful is leaving you feeling a little worrisome, try taking an over-the-counter pain reliever an hour before your appointment.

At Perfect Elegance we use Australian Bodycare Hy-Wax, an innovative system which assures a worry-free waxing experience. The wax itself is soft and gentle, gliding thinly onto the skin, and all their products are infused with Tea Tree oil, which has natural antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties - beneficial for healthy skin.

Remember, we want you to be as comfortable as possible, so don’t be too shy to speak to us about any concerns or questions you may have!
